Warrants - Civil - Court Services
Division Commander – Captain Robert Smith
This unit is comprised of 9 sworn personnel, 6 bailiffs and 2 administrative assistants/clerks.
This unit is responsible for all outstanding, active warrants, as well as maintaining civil process and assisting the Uniform Division in the serving of the civil processes that are filed in Superior, Magistrate and Probate Courts. This unit also serves and maintains active warrants and civil processes sent from other counties in Georgia, as well as, from other states, if the subjects live in Butts County.
- Civil Process Service Fee - $50 per defendant serving
- Subpoena Service Fee - $10 per subpoena serving
This unit will also enforce Writ of Possessions ordered by Superior and/or Magistrate Court when time permits.
- Execution of Writ of Possession - $25 per tenant named/served in case
This unit is also responsible for handling FiFa’s issued by Superior and Magistrate court in an attempt to collect or levy on to satisfy the judgment.
- FiFa Nulla Bona Fee - $20
This unit maintains court security at the Courthouse on a daily basis. When court(s) are in session, this unit is responsible for the safety of all judges and staff, as well as securing the courtroom.
