Specialized Units
Our goal is to target all drug traffickers in and around the Butts County area. Our team works closely with other narcotics task forces in the area, as well as various federal agencies charged with the responsibility of enforcing drug laws in a proactive manner to reduce illegal narcotics in our community.

The Butts County Sheriff's Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team consist of four Interdiction Specialist. Two Narcotic Investigators, and two Patrol and Narcotic Detection Canines.
S.W.A.T.
In every Law Enforcement department, it is necessary to train deputies to handle special investigations, narcotics raids, aviation, and other special operations that fall outside of normal police force or investigative requirments.
Consists of deputies who have had special training in scuba diving and underwater search techniques in the event of an emergency at or near a lake such as drownings, suicides, vehicle crashes, evidence searches, homicides, missing persons searches, and aircraft crashes.
