Jackson High School

Inv. Hotchkiss is a member of the internet crimes against children task force.

The knowlege he has gained in training enables him to conduct covert operations to protect the youth in our community.

In a proactive attempt to prevent future crimes against children in our community he taught a block of instruction to Jackson High School students. This block of instruction taught students the offenses of crimes that are prevalent to their age group and ways to prevent and report them.

 

Sex Offender Registry

The Butts County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division Special Victims Unit is responsible for the registration and tracking of sex offenders that reside within the boundries of the county.

This includes the sex offenders who are serving time in the Georgia Diagnostic and Correctional Prison. The registry is designed to make citizens aware of the sex offenders who may reside near by and its purpose is to educate the citizens of Butts County.
